Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are wonderful and I love having them in my classroom. They are students who love having many options and choices for learning. We are a title one school and the students thrive on having different ways of learning.
As a new and upcoming teacher, I am looking for items to prepare my first classroom.
I would like to have a library of books for the students in my classroom. I teach students to be authentic readers and that means that the students get choice. To foster this choice I'm asking for books that my students can choose from.
My Project
I am an up and coming teacher in the Mesa School District. I knew that I have wanted to teach now for several years, but I didn't know how special the students in Mesa are. These students have shown great strides in the last year coming off of COVID.
These books are meant for students who are trying to improve their reading, many of which have been hit hard by COVID in terms of their ability to ready.
