This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an amazing group of intelligent, hard-working, and kind leaders. They have dreams of going to college, and they deserve every opportunity we can give them.
Our school just recently became a STEAM Magnet, and we are working hard to strengthen the science, technology, engineering, art, and math curricula.
We are a school-wide Title I school, and we strive to provide engaging and motivating learning opportunities that meet the needs of every child. My students take great pride in their school and work together to make it the best school possible.
My Project
I am working really hard to build a love of reading in my classroom. My students are finally realizing how amazing reading can be, and they are enjoying books at their grade level.
These books will allow me to bring new books into our classroom library so that my students will have access to new genres and authors.
My students will continue to expand their knowledge of text structure, character development, and plot as we read different types of novels. These books will take my students to places they have never been and allow them to "meet" people they have never even heard of. Books are so powerful, and I want my students to experience that power every single day!
