My students need sets of wireless headphones for our listening center.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Conahey's classroom raised $369

My Students
How often do headphones have to be replaced due to tangled or broken wires? If you're not sure, I can tell you.... A LOT! Students are often so excited by the story that they do not realize they are becoming wrapped up until it is too late! Let's change that by eliminating the wires!
In our Kindergarten classroom, we like to keep things exciting.
There are a lot of important skills that my kindergartners need to master before they are ready for 1st grade. Most of my students come from low-income households, single-parent homes, unstable environments, etc. Despite their personal struggles, they come to school excited to learn. They love working with each other and learning new things!
My Project
Students go to the listening center on a daily basis, but without headphones they can become easily distracted. Wireless headphones will help block the distraction of other students and allow those in listening to hear the story. It will also benefit students who are working on writing, sight words, and reading to themselves have a quiet work space. It will benefit students in my guided reading groups and allow them to focus.
Having wireless headphones are more kid friendly, and allows students to become independent in their centers. They will have a hassle-free clean up that they are able to manage on their own.
We all know that keeping the attention of 5 and 6 year olds can be tricky, but this donation would prevent an unnecessary distraction.
The wireless headphones will create a quiet environment that is more conducive to learning. Who doesn't like a quiet environment to read in?
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
