Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day, we come to school trying to create new and exciting centers for our students. Our students come into school willing and eager to learn. We want to help them accomplish so much! Our students love to learn through play and physical movements.
Our students are simply amazing.
They each differ in so many ways. Our class is a 3rd grade MICRO ICT. It is a program for high functioning students that takes place in an integrated co-teaching class. Each member of the class has their own style and personality. In order for our class to continue growing we need new literacy games and a computer to help our students grow. We want to impact all of their styles of learning.
My Project
The requested computer will help us create visuals as well as a center for our students. Literacy centers are so crucial in third grade because they are finding who they are and we need to keep them entertained. We try our hardest creating different literacy stations to help them, but we simply need more. We want to teach them different strategies to help them grow.
Literacy centers are workstations designed to accomplish specific tasks. They are a place where students can practice various literacy skills in a meaningful center. A Literacy Center is an integral part of a classroom, giving students a chance to learn independently or work in small groups. A literacy center focuses on activities that provide practice of concepts learned in a classroom. Literacy centers make it easier for teachers to attend to small groups of learners while the rest of the class is busy with other literacy activities. Literacy centers have to be planned properly for different levels in order to be effective.
These donations will help our students by giving them more choices.
Choices helps our students grow. We want our students to be independent and to learn the best way they can. These donations would help students' lives. We appreciate everything that helps our children grow.
