Help me give my students Magna-Tiles, Waffle Builders, and Star Builders to properly develop fine motor skills while engaging them in STEM projects building structures and using their imaginations.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a preschool teacher I can have a maximum of 20 students in my class. This is a great number when you think that each one of my students, for the most part, is coming into a classroom for the first time.
I am the teacher that will set the foundation that will take them through their school years.
I am a lucky person with a lot of responsibility!
It is an amazing feeling to see them learn and grow!
My Project
As young learners, we learn through play in pre-kindergarten. We learn the essentials that will take us through graduation. We learn social skills and develop gross and fine motor skills.
With so much technology at the disposal of our children, fine motor skills are not being developed.
With the manipulatives I have chosen, my students will use their fine motor skills while being engaged in STEM activities that encourage them to use their imaginations and work together. Students will be introduced to great structures around the world and be encouraged to recreate them by using these manipulatives, while working with others.
