This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a high need public school with limited resources.

Most of the students in my school come from low-income families and are faced with many challenges in their lives.

Yet they come to school ready to learn and absorb new knowledge.

School is a place where they can experience the world around them through books and engaging lessons. My students are very eager and active students who are full of energy. They need all the support and encouragement the school community can provide.

My Project

Young children especially learn best from experiencing hands-on learning. They need the opportunity to explore, think and create ideas. The STEM Bundle includes many manipulatives for students to apply engineering concepts in building things such as homes and bridges.

My students will be able to learn science, technology, engineering and math concepts and skills through exploration and engaging lessons.

These are critical concepts they need to be ready for 21st century careers.

The STEM Bundle will also provide opportunities for my students to build problem solving and critical thinking skills. What they learn now will be a foundation for their future.
