This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My middle school students are extremely happy to be back learning in person after nearly 2 years online. They are eager to work with their classmates, participate in class, and build new relationships.

They are determined workers and thinkers who are constantly bringing new ideas and experiences into the classroom.

My Project

Help my students see themselves reflected in the books we use in the classroom, as well as help them learn from new and diverse stories! Students have independent reading time everyday in school, many students have asked for new books that share different perspectives.

Help give them diverse books that they are excited to choose from!

My students love to bring in their own ideas and experiences in to the classroom, these books will help them relate more to the things we are learning about in class, all while allowing them to read at their grade level!
