This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach STREAM 3K and Pre-K students at a low-income school. STREAM stands for: Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math. In the school year 2025-2026, I want to give the students a culturally responsive classroom that recognizes and values students' diverse background cultures and experiences.

I want to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel seen, heard and empowered to succeeding academically, socially and emotionally.

These materials will help support the students' unique cultural strengths and help feel the sense of belonging in my STREAM classroom daily. It will create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students fostering a sense of community and belonging.

In the school year 2025-2026, I want the students to love to come into my STREAM classroom by feeling more culturally involved/accepted based on the resources that's provided to them in my classroom. Help my 66 students feel culturally accepted.
