Building a Cozy, Safe Space Where Students Can Be Themselves!

Help me give my students an environment where they all feel included and represented. I want to provide a peaceful, comfortable space where students feel at home.

My Project

I am starting with the basics in building my classroom foundation, especially through my classroom library. As a first-year teacher, I am starting from scratch. I want to make sure my classroom is a safe space where the students feel comfortable and cozy, but eager to learn!

Through the books requested for my classroom library, I want each student to be represented and see themselves in the stories they read.

I will use these books in my read-alouds to get to know my students and share inspiring stories with them. I can't wait to create an atmosphere where each student feels they can thrive.
