My Students

My students are truly amazing and one of a kind! They come to school each day with a passion for learning. Each day we take 15 minutes to ourselves to read personal books that spark our interest. We also take an additional 15 minutes as a class to complete a chapter book read aloud. My students are never ready to for me to close the book when the 15 minutes are up.

My Project

The goal of my project is to create a space where students can go in the classroom to find reading materials. Currently my class is without an area where students can go to pick out a books of their choice. The bookshelf will serve as a storage unit that houses a variety of texts. The books will range from picture books to chapter books, non-fiction to fiction, and formative to just for fun. The themes will promote a positive learning environment and meet the interest of a variety of students. With time our library will continue to grow and inspire young scholars!
