My Project
For this project, I am looking for materials to engage my enthusiastic Kindergarteners in a hands-on project. At our school, we are an Urban Planning and Urban Design magnet. We start students at a young age, and for our Kinder class, we are going to make a large-scale city model. Students will be adding homes, community spaces, green spaces, transportation, and people. These supplies will help give students the opportunity to visualize and build a city with realistic materials. Students will also be creating a design for a metro station in Los Angeles. My students love to build and will use their creativity to create a dream park, a mural for their metro station, a variety of homes, and any community spaces of their choice.
