Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Do you remember your favorite or best elementary school classrooms looking dull, grey, made of cement blocks, and bars on the windows? No, you don't!
You remember that classroom as being age-appropriate, child-friendly, lively, full of color, welcoming, and safe.
These items would help create this environment for all students no matter the needs they need to succeed. Such as using the single push-button electric 3 hole-puncher or the easiest stapler that can be with 1 finger.
The floor seats will allow students to read or work comfortability on the floor. The pillow covers will help my students in their calm down corner in order to better help themselves manage their emotions. It will include books that they can read about emotions and emotional strategies.
The different lighting options will allow me as the teacher to use different lighting options instead of the hard-glaring fluorescent lights. I could light up the classroom in different colors to surprise students or to schedule transition times.
With your financial help I could turn the room into a brighter and calmer classroom that all students would be happy to learn in everyday.
