This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Building a community of Independent learners is a mission and vision at my school. I want to provide my scholars many opportunities for self discovery and choice. My students are eager to learn, but also enjoy time set aside to read independently. My students with special needs thrive to develop their reading skills. They are inquisitive and truly wonderful.

Oh the Places They can Go with an abundance of books!

My Project

I was blessed to bring a variety of books from last year's projects for my primary students with great pride. This year I will be teaching middle school students with special needs. I want to build on our library by adding more reading levels and titles to my classroom library. The rolling carts, colorul book bins and pocket chart will help my students in grabbing fiction and nonfiction titles past level P.

An attractive Leveled-Library with updated titles and color-coded system would be such an asset to my students of special needs.

When students get to self select titles that interest them, they will continue to go back for more. Having this variety of fiction and non fiction books is the best gift I can give them to build their reading skills and love of learning.
