This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our classroom is built on a collaborative learning experience where students love to talk, share, and ask questions. The students thrive on the learning of one another. They bring their whole selves to the classroom every day, making for a dynamic and stimulating environment. Our students truly emulate a love for learning and each other. Their ability to think critically, problem solve, and build together. 2nd grade is clearly a time where students begin to understand themselves a little more and understand how to be.
My Project
Thank you so much for your consideration! I am looking to amplify the learning environment for students while making learning and teaching more accessible. This requires some heavy duty upfront costs.
As a low income and low resourced school almost supplies and classroom furniture is at the expense of the teacher.
Our classroom needs the basics (such as notebooks, folders, glue sticks, scissors) as well as materials and furniture that make learning more accessible and fun such as storage equipment, learning materials (magnetic letters, teaching easel) and library essentials and furniture (bean bags, a couch, pillows, books etc.). Help this first-year teacher!
