My Project
In our STEM lab, students don’t just build—they imagine entire worlds. With LEGO base plates, they’ll design and construct landscapes ranging from ocean habitats to sandy deserts to Martian colonies. These base plates serve as the launchpad for endless engineering challenges, science tie-ins, and creative stories. One day, students might build coral reefs to learn about marine ecosystems, and the next day, they might construct a Mars rover station as part of a space unit.
These sturdy, reusable base plates will give my students structure (literally!) while allowing their imaginations to soar.
They’ll also help with organization, collaboration, and spatial planning—critical STEM skills that are often hard to teach through paper-and-pencil tasks alone.
