Help me give my students the STEAM exposure they need! As we continue to look at the world around us, technology is a significant tool that will not be leaving us.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my own educational experience, I remember being exposed to computer class as a child. However, I was never given the opportunity to learn about the possibilities of technology. I am an early childhood educator and understand the importance of foundation built within our early aged students. By exposing students to coding and programming we are opening up many STEAM avenues that can benefit them as they age! I have noticed many schools now offering opportunities to use programs that are similar, however the students only have a day or two of 45-minute exposure. By donating these tools to our classroom, the students will have a daily opportunity to experiment, learn and build their foundation. We can be opening up a world of possibilities that they might not even know existed.
