My Project

Our library is more than a place for books—it's a space for discovery, creativity, and wellness. With this LEGO grant, we aim to create a hands-on building station where students can independently engage with guided LEGO architecture sets. These sets will encourage them to read instructions, problem-solve through trial and error, and experience the satisfaction of constructing something tangible. Students will be invited to use study hall time to participate, offering them a calm, screen-free activity that promotes focus, reduces stress, and allows them to recharge before returning to class. This initiative blends creativity and cognitive development with opportunities for quiet, purposeful play.

Build creativity, build community, build history.

By purchasing LEGO Architecture sets of iconic landmarks, we will not only give students the chance to develop fine motor skills and spatial reasoning but also enhance our library’s connection to historical learning and school climate. Completed builds will be proudly displayed in the library’s history section, sparking curiosity and conversation among students about the world’s most iconic structures. This project supports independent learning, artistic expression, and a sense of pride in a shared creative space—turning our library into both a sanctuary and a showcase for student-driven work.
