This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of energetic students that come to school with a variety of life experiences. Some of my students live below the poverty line and some are learning English for the first time. For a lot of my students my classroom is their first school experience. With that in mind, we are leaning how to read and write our name, read and write letters and numbers, and how to communicate with friends and teachers. As their teacher, it is my job to provide my students with a safe and positive classroom environment where they can learn and grow.

My Project

The use of puzzles and building materials allows students time to experiment, build, and explore. Throughout the week students will be given a variety of STEM materials to use. During this time students will work on developing their social skills, their language skills and their critical thinking skills.

A lot of the students in my room do not have access to these high engagement, hand on materials at home.

Funding these materials will give my students an opportunity they would otherwise not have. Please consider donating to my project. Your generosity will greatly impact and enrich the learning in our classroom.
