Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me create a welcoming and engaging classroom library filled with books that bring government, history, and civic life to life for my students! I’m looking to stock our shelves with high-interest nonfiction, biographies, historical accounts, and books that center youth voices and their role in democracy.

From exploring landmark Supreme Court cases to understanding the experiences of the young, these books will help students make personal connections to the content they learn in class.

In addition to the books, we also need storage solutions to keep our growing library organized and accessible. New shelves will help us keep our reading area clean and inviting, so students can easily browse, borrow, and have space to read. These resources will support independent reading, research projects, and critical thinking about the world around them.

My students are curious, thoughtful, and eager to understand how government impacts their daily lives. With your help, we can build a classroom library that inspires civic engagement and a love of learning. Thank you for supporting our journey!
