Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will help enhance the print-rich classroom that we are striving to create in our newly adopted ELA Curriculum. My classroom library is a place that I would like my students really enjoy. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind- considering both age and culturally appropriate topics. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time which is a vital part of our new everyday routine.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will help them look forward to reading independently every single day.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word. The Scholastic News Magazines will provide my students the opportunity to study current events in whole group and small group settings. These magazines will help them understand the importance of people, events, and issues in the news.
