This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Reading without books is impossible! We need more books for our classroom library.

My students are in a bilingual program.

They spend half of their day learning in Spanish and half in English. They are in the fourth grade and have been learning Spanish since kindergarten. They attend a school in an urban environment in Washington State. Our school is 75% free and reduced lunch. My students are hard working.

My Project

This is the first year the Spanish bilingual class has reached the fourth grade, in many ways it is a new classroom, lacking resources. The students need books in their classroom library, that are in Spanish so the can practice their reading skills.

By donating to help our students receive Spanish books you are helping them learn and expand their knowledge.

Reading in two languages is a skill that will be needed in my students' future, you can help them achieve this.
