This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are young, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. They work hard and want to over-excel in all that they do. When we are in class they love helping one another and giving each other the support. They are very open-minded and absorb the information given to them quite quickly. They are inquisitive and learn through experiences. Their fascination with the world allows them to see even the smallest detail. They are always excited to share the world they see through their eyes. The world through the eyes of a four/five year old is fascinating.
My Project
My students have been learning virtually since March. Virtual learning is difficult but more at this age. Help me send LEGO bricks home so my students can build and be creative. Less time on the screen and more time developing their small motor skills, problem solving, planning, and developing their critical thinking.
My students love sharing their creations and with Legos the possibilities are endless.
We will use the Legos to make a creation to present every other Friday. My students love to show others what the have made. The LEGO bricks will give them the ability to boost their self esteem, support their social emotions and avoid feeling anxiety from being on a screen all day long through creativity.
