My Project
A.C. Elementary, a Chicago Public School on the South Side, has recently launched a band program a little over a year old. We have been off to a great start with 64 students currently enrolled, an increase from 48 in our inaugural year. Students play instruments like flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. Notably, our advanced band was just accepted to perform at the CPS arts festival "RE-VER-BER-ATE" on April 25th.
In order to continue our growth, we are in need of better storage solutions, including folder and uniform cabinets.
Our current method of storage is outdated and doesn't meet our needs. Students must share medium sized slots for their folders, books, and sheet music, and our uniform polos are spread out across multiple storage areas.
By contributing to this project, you will be helping our students learn in a more tidy and organized environment, and free up space in our music room for more instruments and students as our program continues to grow!
