This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are currently learning about insects in our classroom. We're in week 2, and students love it! They enjoy comparing their size, color, texture, etc. Right now, students are obsessed with caterpillars, but I would love to introduce them to others with the help of the insect specimen viewers and the real-life bug discovery kit.
It's important to focus on introducing young children to the wonders of their world through hands-on exploration and observation.
I am also requesting water blocks so students can self-explore and observe which blocks float or sink and why that is.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
