My students need hands-on STEM "Stimulation" to build and mold their little creative math and science thinking minds!
This VPI Pre K classroom consists of at risk diverse learners from various socioeconomic statuses and varying ability levels.
Many live with grandparents, foster parents, and several are even homeless. They need extra exposure and support of hands on materials to help them learn and retain information.
We live in a very rural area and are a school wide Title I School where most of our students receive free or reduced lunches.
My students are diverse, creative, and eager to learn! They are so inquisitive and curious about the world around them!
My Project
I need a Scoop-A-Bug Sorting Kit, Bugs & Insects Instant Learning Center, Insect Lore Live Ladybug Growing Kit, Real Bugs Discovery Kit, Insect Lore Butterfly Growing Kit, Insect Xrays, Bug action figures, bug puzzle, and books about bugs to use in our daily Science STEM learning Center.
If this project gets funded these materials will help provide extra learning opportunities and support for all of my students but especially for the homeless students.
Their families unfortunately may not have any educational items and they will not be able to provide the much needed home support. They will be able to use these hands on materials in our classroom. I want to lend and send these materials home with the homeless kids for their parents to use at home weekly. I want all of students and their families to become "Buggy" and excited about their learning! These kids need to Learn All About Bugs!
