Budgeting Tools for Special Needs Students

My Project

My advanced business students are partnering with our district's high special needs school to teach kids how to budget using the "envelope system." One of my kids has a brother enrolled at the school and has watched his autism diagnosis make financial concepts more challenging to grasp. She encouraged our entire organization to find a better way to teach budgeting to students with different abilities and this project is our beginning.

Our goal is to teach 50 special needs kids how to budget using the "envelope system." The donated items will be used to create a sturdy envelope system for each of the students to use during the lesson and, then, take home to use for real money management.
