Budding Little Scientists!

My students need classroom supplies, including ink cartridges, notebooks, glue, and erasers, to document their learning in science journals after their science experiments are completed.

I am the science specialist in a low income school and we really need supplies for our science/technology lab.

We are always creating artifacts from our science units and supplies are in great demand. After all of our experiments we are writing and adding information to our science journals. Sometimes we are drawing, or filling in a pre-formatted worksheet that needs to be glued into our notebooks. Other times we are creating presentations or graphics on the computer and would like to display them and then add them to our portfolios. With 4 grade levels doing science projects we have many children cycling through the lab and producing awesome science projects. Many materials that we need to do our experiments are included in the science kits that we get from STC or Foss. However, many consumable items are provided by the teacher from her own money since the school doesn't have the funds to provide all the materials we need.

The pencils that the school supplies do not have erasers on them. We'd love to have erasers to go along with our pencils. In addition, the school was not able to buy science notebooks for the children, so many students were able to bring their own. However, some students were not able to bring in their own notebooks for a journal. We are always acquiring new students throughout the school year and these children also need notebooks. We also would like to print our computer projects that we complete, but our printer is out of ink. All of these materials would help us to present and preserve our work. Not only could we keep records of our understanding and learning, we could use our notebooks to revisit and review to reinforce the science concepts that we are developing.

The students are very engaged in their science learning and your donation will help them to preserve and show off their work. Thank you for any help you can provide.
