We are a STEM program that promote building and design with our students. This our first year being a Magnet school. Many of our students have never been introduced to engineering and design process and we find using a multitude of materials help with the process we have begun.
The students in this program love building with all sorts of materials from cups to LEGOS and everything in between.
The creativity I’ve seen in my students has been mind blowing. We have created bridges to cross rivers, my students have developed mazes and amusement parks. The list can go on and on.
We love displaying our creations, but we can’t for long because of the lack of materials. We find ourselves running out of materials when we are all together which makes it difficult to build larger and creative designs.
Having extra materials for building will allow my students imaginations to go far.
