My students need instruments to progress their music education and higher-order thinking skills. They also need a repair kit.

My students are spectacular young adults who have been given a difficult hand. We are building a music program and creating phenomenal musicians and scholars, but it is difficult to help those who want to succeed in instrumental music when we cannot afford the materials and neither can they.
Our school is a progressive school that is trying to guide a new route in education.
Our students are taught to be respectable and respectful young adults that have the initiative and drive to lead themselves to a better life. We are changing many traditional ideas about education to better educate our students. We have an amazing staff that is dedicated to the enhancement of our students. On my side of the school, we are empowering our students through art, literacy, and physical education. We are still building our arts, but it has been difficult to keep teachers in a poverty-stricken and an under-performing area. Our students deserve the best and it is unfair that they are refused the chance simply because of circumstances.
They will use them every single day! After they graduate, the instrument will rotate back through to the new class and the graduated students will continue their music studies in high school. They will be learning a life-long set of skills that will benefit them as they grow and will place them above their peers in development. They will be critically thinking and creating each and every day. The repair kit will keep our instruments alive and well for a longer time!
By funding this project, you are providing children an opportunity to rise above.
They will express themselves, learn, and grow brilliantly through music. As shown through research, there are only positives after positives in regard to these students learning music; especially instrumental music.
