Budding Artists Need a Work Space!

My students need a sturdy and functional art easel to allow the enjoyment of creating to be a continuous activity in our classroom!

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of socio-economic backgrounds. Some of my children have little-to-no preschool or social interaction outside of the family prior to Kindergarten entry. Others are at various stages of learning English as a second language, too. A big part of our day is spent learning about communication, the world, and our peers through social interactions.

Kindergarten is a magical time where kids get to explore and create and learn to love coming to school.

Play is the child's work, which is why I strive to create a balanced day between the rigors of academics and exploration through open-ended play.

My Project

My students LOVE to paint, but we we do not have any functional art easels! In fact, some of my students have never had the opportunity to paint before this school year.

Painting elicits imagination, creativity, and natural communication skills that are necessary for daily life.

In Kindergarten kids are just learning how to express themselves and figure out their likes, dislikes, and what they believe they are good at.

Our current high academic standards do not always provide room for the arts, which is why I strive to give my students a well balanced day. With a new art easel we can have a painting station!
