My students need Buddha boards to enhance their sensory needs.

My students are high energy learners who sometimes have emotional issues in the classroom. They cannot always go to the principals office or other rooms to calm down. Many times problems are handled and solved in the art room by myself.
My kids desire playful expression that is new and innovative.
They want an outlet that is different and that can capture their imaginations. With the high energy in my room, occurrences are bound to come up. My students need the freedom to express themselves and not have that get them in trouble. These boards allow for that release.
Buddha Board is inspired by the Zen idea of living in the moment. You simply paint on the surface with water and your creation will come to life in bold design. Then as the water slowly evaporates, your art will magically disappear leaving you with a clean slate and a clear mind, ready to create a whole new masterpiece. Buddha Board is environmentally friendly as it only uses water - no ink, no paint, no chemicals - and it will last for years. Live for the moment and enjoy!
This donation will improve the mentality of my students and allow them creative expression.
The environment in my classroom will be one of relaxation and calmness. If students are upset they can use the Buddha Board to express their feelings and watch those feelings disappear into nothingness. What a great way for my students to explore themselves! These boards are meant to encourage you to master the art of letting go.
