Help me give my students these durable 5 gallon buckets to use for a variety of things in the music class room and in musical performances. They will be used for bucket drumming & creative movement.
I teach in Kansas where our schools have been underfunded for several years. This means that basic supplies we used to be able to get easily are now harder to obtain.
I am fortunate to work with amazing, enthusiastic children with great support from parents.
They love music and come to school, for the most part, excited to learn!
My students are busy singing, moving and creating in my classroom. I want to provide the best environment possible to foster a love for music that will last a lifetime!
I teach music to approx. 500 students. We will use these 5 gallon buckets for a variety of purposed in my classroom and during performance.
Some of the ways I use buckets in my classroom are for bucket drumming.
These buckets provide a durable, inexpensive surface for students to practice drumming activities. When not being used as a drum, they are a great place to store musical instruments and props. I also have used them as flexible seating during class and in performances. As you can see, they are a very versatile tool for student learning in the music classroom!
