Over the past eight years, I've had some of the nicest, brightest, most talented, well behaved, hardest working, funniest, saddest, most troubled, poorest, richest, biggest pains, the most caring, the I-could-care-less, the shyest, the most outgoing, the physically challenged, the mentally challenged, and all those students in between. They have all helped me grow to become the teacher that I am today, and I thank them everyday for that. I love what I do and I do what I love, sharing my passion for education with my students, while teaching them to be human, compassionate, creative, disciplined, patient, cooperative, responsible, motivated and happy!
My Project
I am requesting the opportunity to attend a professional development conference in the areas of reading, writing and math . This conference will allow me to gain new strategies for teaching exciting content that I can implement in my classroom. I am confident that the knowledge I will gain from this conference will help me to become a more effective reading teacher. The knowledge I will attain from this experience will benefit my students for years to come.
The knowledge gained from this unique experience will directly impact the success of my students.
Many of my students' strengths in the area of reading are fluency and accuracy, but comprehension is an area where their skills are not as strong. This conference will allow me to add to my toolbox of strategies for helping readers boost their reading comprehension. Your generous donation will directly impact my students.
