My Students

My third graders are creative, inspiring, innovative, and active. I am so grateful to spend my day learning alongside them. These students are involved in so many activities inside and outside of school, both in the community and outside. Our school itself, is a low income school, in a rural community.

My students are eager to try new things and use their passions for good, and that's why I believe it's my job to give them the education they deserve to receive.

Our class is made up of so many dreamers and inventors, and I can't wait to see where the world takes them.

My Project

Through this project, I am hoping to provide some more alternative seats in the classroom to build a more comfortable classroom environment.

The addition of bucket seats will pair well with guided reading in the classroom and help students to stay safe while at the whiteboard kidney table.

This table is also used in guided math for group work, and will be a great asset for student's learning. The buckets will provide extra storage needed in the classroom when needed.

The sand will help with discovery during maker space and support their desire to create and explore new things. With winter approaching, I'd like to have some more hands-on items in the classroom that students can play with during inside recess. The kinetic sand will be a nice addition to our classroom.
