Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have used a lot of our basic supplies this previous school year and need many things replaced. These supplies keep our classroom running smoothly on a daily basis. Funding in my district is extremely limited at this time and does not provide for even the most basic of supplies. As we are ending the school year I would like to provide my students with fun supplies like coloring books, bubble solution, popcorn and a popcorn cup to enjoy an educational movie. Students will blow bubbles and interact with classmates as part of our end of the school year fun activities. Also, students will make a Mother's Day activity with the picture frames. Students will view an educational movie and enjoy popcorn. Students will also elaborate with their peers as to what happened at the beginning, middle and ending of the movie.
My students look forward to Fun Fridays because every Friday we have visual art lessons.
Finally, the bubble solution would allow my students to have fun and provide some social emotional relief. The coloring books will allow students to enjoy and develop fine motor skills.
