This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is in need of sensory materials to facilitate regulation and engagement for all students. By ensuring a sensory supportive environment, we can enhance the learning experience and provide equitable opportunities for every child.
With your support I can create a variety of engaging spaces that help children learn how to self regulate.
It is my firm belief that each child deserves to feel safe and happy in their school environment. These materials play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of security, enabling every child to regulate their emotions and in turn thrive academically.
Some of the materials in my cart include the sensory tables that will hold a variety of different sensory items. The bubble lamp provides a calming visual and auditory input and the liquid tiles provide that visual and proprioceptive input. These materials will be throughout the classroom so it doesn't matter where the students are, they will have access to sensory supports! The light covers will help soften the room from the florescent lights while providing a calming blue cloud pattern.
