Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is meant to jumpstart the new school year and provide students with a welcoming environment stocked with classroom materials (such as pencils and poster paper), PPE/cleaning supplies (such as alcohol wipes), and some incentive/needs-based resources (AKA snacks)!
A cool concept that drove this project is the vision of transforming four lab-style table-top desks into uniquely engaging spaces for group work.
Outfitting these long rectangular tables with dry-erase marker sticker paper and complementary markers will invite students to express their thinking using written and visual strategies, differentiate the ways they may demonstrate their understanding, and encourage collaboration among their peers.
