Brrr We Need a Warm Spot for Our Whole Group

My Students

I teach in one of the most poverty stricken areas in the country but this doesn't stop my students from coming to school. My students consist of kindergarten, first, and second grade all in one classroom at the same time. My class size ranges from 18 to 24 students at a time. They come to school everyday eager to learn everything they can. They deserve the best education that I can give them. They are future doctors, police officers, scientist, teachers, and presidents. I am very blessed to be their teacher. They are our future.

My Project

The Learning Letters Activity Carpet will provide a multipurpose area of learning. It will provide a warm place to sit during our whole group activities, independent reading, small group learning, and letter identification/matching.

It has the alphabet in a rectangle so the students know where their spot on the carpet is and have their own space to sit.

They also can practice their letter matching because the upper and lowercase letters are on the carpet. Having this carpet will provide a comfortable place for my students to learn while listening to read alouds and shared reading. My student can also do buddy reading on the carpet. The carpet is a very important part of our classroom.
