My students are a group of energetic, creative, eager learners. They come from a predominantly low economic background. Over ninety-five percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is a safe haven for many of the students since it's the only place many receive consistency along with a daily routine of learning.
My group of preschool students are excited about learning and just need a boost to help continue to motivate them.
The socioeconomic level of a student's family should neither determine the level of learning nor hinder creativity.
I have several students who are very much in need of a winter coat. Some have jackets, or coats with broken zippers or are simply to small. The winter months are harsh in the Midwest, students need to be warm as they walk to and from school.
This project of winter coats will help the families meet their basic needs for their child as the cold weather approaches.
Their need for coats is greater because the cold weather prevents students from attending school. In this case, they will be able to attend school daily and stay warm as they walk to school in their winter coats. Your donations for a new coat for each child in need as they walk to school will be warmly appreciated.
