Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my classroom are creative, energetic, and always eager to learn. One thing that I really appreciate about the students in my class is their willingness to help one another as well as myself and my teaching partner Mrs. Bingham. My goal is to prepare my students to be self-sufficient and to truly be ready for Kindergarten. My students are lacking some of the supplies needed to learn new skills. I believe if they get these materials their education will soar to new heights!

My Project

Our students will be able to use a rug to help boost their Literacy skills! They will learn to recognize different letters in their environment on a daily basis which will lead to other discussions and topics in the classroom. We currently don’t have any play doh in our classroom which I believe is very important in building student fine motor skills and creativity. With these art supplies my students will be able to explore new materials in the classroom to foster their individual learning. My main concern is student growth and finding ways to improve their learning in a way that is creative and fun for them.
