This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how explorative each individual student is in the classroom. Unique creativity is bursting every single day and I am proud to foster an environment, with the help of community, to make this happen! It always feels like an explosion of color, character and personality come to life in each special art class.

I teach K-5 Art and will share these materials (table hop easels, paining aprons, plaster cloth rolls, masking tape, etc) with the second art teacher in my school.

The lessons we will be embarking for the new year is paper maché sculptures, painting and composition, plaster projects, collage and so much more! The learning outcome is for students to have a wide variety of mediums to choose and express their creativity. I want students to have the freedom to explore the art medium they feel most attuned with and have to resources to practice their skills.
