My Students
My students attend a medium-sized rural school in Michigan. They come from a variety of backgrounds and challenges, but they come to school ready to work every day. Their hard work inspires me to work even harder for them. I could not ask for a better group.
This project will impact every science student in our high school!
This equipment will be used for biology, chemistry, forensics, and agriscience. Our science department shares equipment so these supplies will be used by almost every student in our building.
My Project
Over the course of any given school year, some glassware gets broken. I try to avoid charging students who might not be able to afford to replace the items. The beakers and scoops will be used during labs as students design and carry out experiments. They are also used to help us prepare solutions for the students to use in the lab. The vacuum grease will help us to maintain a seal on our bell jar when we talk about pressure and gases.
This project allows my students to focus on learning in the lab and not to worry that they might make a mistake that would cost them money!
