My students need an iPad Mini, case, and other technology for innovative ways to show what they know. These tools would allow students to create digital representations of their learning.
"I can't believe I figured it out!" "This was so awesome!" "Can I try it again?" These were some of the exclamations heard as the students work on our programming unit. Feeling the buzz of excitement and hearing all of the accolades given to the kids has made this project a necessity.
Our kids have caught the coding bug and can't wait to tackle new and exciting programming challenges!
The problem-solving skills they are honing with these devices are going to translate into real-world successes later in life.
My students are problem solvers and thinkers. They enjoy challenges and are hungry for more. Some of my students have access to the incredible technology they get to learn with at school, but most do not. Providing as level a playing field as possible and motivating them and encouraging them to think and grow as learners is of critical importance.
My Project
An updated iPad, tripod, and microphone would allow my students to explore learning in new and exciting ways. A broadcasting station would open up a whole new area of technology to them. My students need the opportunity to explore creating digital media.

Communication is essential to learning. Some of my students excel at speaking in front of their peers, but many do not. These tools would allow my students to practice this skill and grow through constructive feedback.
Being able to communicate and collaborate with technology from such a young age means that these kiddos will have a leg up as they continue to grow and learn. I would love to be able to give them as many advantages as possible.
