Bringing World War II to Life Through Books!

Help me give my students the joy of reading about World War II as well as help myself keep track of all assignments and readings on a brand new hard drive.

My Students

The students who take my elective class on World War II are self-driven- they genuinely want to know more about the subject. I get a lot of boys who aren't really interested in sports, but they love military history and want to know everything about it. And I also get a lot of girls in my class (many of whom are weirdly curious about the Holocaust), who want to know more about the subject as well.

Students often tell me they worked harder in this class, even though it is an elective than in any other class they've had.

My Project

I am trying to build up my World War II library so kids may check out these books, take them home, and use them to complete their World War II Book Review for my class.

Many of my students are not avid readers and I try to do anything to help them become better readers.

Many of my students tell me that this is the first real book they've ever read in their high school career. I love when students have a positive experience with books and reading, especially when it is about one of the most critical time periods in history- World War II.
