My Project
I am requesting an iPad and case to use with my speech and language students in our sessions. There are a multitude of goals I can work on with an iPad, but given that my school doesn't have extras, I am unable to use one. I can use various language and articulation games on an iPad that will motivate students and keep them engaged, which is crucial to learning.
Some of my students would benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices, which supports students with disabilities and helps them communicate, including requesting, labeling, commenting or answering questions.
With my own device I would be able to test out various programs with them to find the right fit. It would improve our therapy sessions and give me more insight on what type of program should be requested for each individual child.
