One memorable moment was watching students create their own \"traffic rules,\" taking turns, stopping at pretend stop signs, and cheering for classmates who were riding independently for the first time. These experiences have helped students build balance, coordination, confidence, and important social skills such as cooperation and patience.\r\nWhen the bikes first arrived, the excitement was immediate. The children gasped, clapped, and couldn't stop smiling as they saw rows of bikes ready for them. Many proudly picked out a bike and said, \"This one is mine!\" Seeing their joy and sense of ownership was incredibly rewarding and reminded us how meaningful access to active play is for young learners.\r\nNext, we will continue incorporating the bikes into movement-based lessons that support self-regulation, following directions, and physical development. Students will practice navigating pathways, recognizing spatial awareness, and building endurance through riding activities. Thanks to your generosity, our preschoolers now have daily opportunities for healthy movement, joyful play, and meaningful learning experiences—something they had been missing for far too long.","fullyFundedDate":1761235185541,"projectUrl":"project/40-preschoolers-3-bikes-we-need-your/9750916/","projectTitle":"40 Preschoolers, 3 Bikes — We Need Your Help!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mendoza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7804505_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758628999012","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7804505"},{"teacherId":7532724,"projectId":9740089,"letterContent":"The moment the children saw the boxes of gym equipment they wanted to help put the basketball hoops and soccer sets together with the teachers. Your contributions are making a meaningful impact every single day. The new printer has become an essential tool in our classroom—it allows us to bring lessons to life through vibrant visuals, engaging activities, and differentiated learning materials that meet our students' individual needs. It's incredible how something so practical can open up new learning pathways and support student success in real time.\r\n\r\nWe are also deeply grateful for the portable whiteboard and kinesthetic building blocks. The whiteboard has transformed how I teach, giving me the flexibility to move easily between learning centers and work with small groups more effectively. It keeps instruction fluid and responsive. Meanwhile, the building blocks have sparked creativity and critical thinking in ways I hadn't imagined—students are now exploring engineering and design through hands-on learning that builds both cognitive and motor skills. Thank you for believing in our mission and helping to create a vibrant, inclusive space where every learner can thrive.\r\n\r\nWith heartfelt thanks,\r\nMs. King\r\nSPED Teacher\r\nJohn H. Since I have received my iPad, I have downloaded many motivational games that I use as reinforcers for working hard. Though not all the time, I also use language apps for students who enjoy using technology in the classroom.\r\nIn addition I use communication apps for my less verbal students who need extra support. I have found that it is even useful to use some of these communication apps with students who are verbal but need support reinforcing vocabulary. Using a communication device is so beneficial for them because they can find the vocabulary they are looking for and don't need me to speak for them.
