My Students
1st and 2nd graders are energetic, enthusiastic, and super social. They are so enjoyable to be around. They love being involved in the learning process and want to succeed. Our goal as a classroom is that we enter the classroom each day ready to try new things and to be brave to make mistakes. Mistakes lead to learning. As a teacher in an impoverished urban area, we struggle to have access to resources needed to provide a quality 21st century. My goal is to provide in equitable education for each student in our classroom.
Eager and Enthusiastic students that need the resources to reach their full potential.
With the school year starting virtual, I need to be able purchase items that will support virtual learning. The goal is to provide items in which students access through home virtual or provide them in-home kits to support learning.
My Project
With the current pandemic, we begin the school year virtual. As classroom teacher, I want to provide extra resources that can support online instruction and practice at home. Each item has purpose and intention to support learning and mindfulness as well. The dry-erase markers are used to support my mini-white boards. The clocks are used to teach time. The expanding ball will be used for mindfulness. The mini slinkies will be used to teach letter sounding.
Finally, the composition notebooks will be used to build on their writing skills and creativity.
These items will build on what they are learning daily in the virtual classroom.
