This project is so fun! I am planning on really bringing the outside world into our classroom. I need a planting mat to keep the dirt mess contained. We will be having many days of stations, and one of those will always involve dirt. That might mean worms or planting seeds, but it will be so much fun! The caterpillar/butterfly station will be amazing with these live caterpillars! This project has some magnetic toys and games for their exploration station. I know that we will want to try out magnets after having a unit about them. I have a few things, but these items in this project are just what they need to go all hands-on with magnets.
Organization is going to be the key when preparing stations and lots of hands-on tools for our Earth and Environment unit.
I love to bring things we are learning right in their laps, but keeping it all organized can be tricky. I want a space that can have all of the station materials organized and focused. I want it to be available for the kids to get out and set up and then put it all away! I think it is a great responsibility for the kids, and they need to learn that things like this can feel organized! This project includes bins and drawers for all of the things we will be working with! I can't wait to set it all up, and see it all in action! They deserve this amazing project from amazing people!
