Bringing the Stage to the Classroom

Help me give my students the opportunity to experience amazing live theater in their very own classroom! Not only these but along with the various books I have selected, these will help them in their growth as actors.

My Students

Starting my second year at my current High School, I have had the opportunity to move to another subject in the school. I am the new Acting and Stagecraft teacher.

My High School has not been known for its theater or productions in the past, but it is my vision and dream to change that.

The theater students that I know I have are passionate about it, they are students who have found their niche and want to excel in their art form.

My Project

It is one thing to talk about good theater, and ground breaking performances by some of the greatest actors out there, but it is another thing to see these performances as they happened on stage. I cannot bring all of my students to Broadway to see the professionals at work, so many of these DVDs will give my students access to these high quality Broadway performances.

The books and DVDs will create an environment where excellency is not a rare thing, but constantly present, close at hand, and achievable.

I was fortunate to have such a classroom culture when I went through my High School theater courses, I want to provide the same for my students. So that they know that they can achieve greatness, by showing them what it is and helping them get there.
