This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I need the extra resources to help my students learn about important aspects and events in their surrounding environment.

Our school has a very large population.

Our classes are very large with 25 or more students in each class. Each child has a diverse background with diverse needs. My Classroom is very excited to learn about new things. They love to read and they love to learn with new and exciting ways.

My Project

I am asking for Scholastic News magazines for my first grade class. I feel they will be a worth while tool that I can utilize to help motivate my students to their full potential. This well help them gain the appropriate background knowledge about new places, peoples and events.

The children are unable to read a regular newspaper and the Scholastic News Magazine brings current events to their level that they can understand and utilize.

This will open up a new window of learning to their imagination.
